Quite a few St Patricks Day road runs are happening all over the bay this weekend and the ever popular Emerald Across the Bay is this weekend as well. Perhaps thats why we don't have a lot of trail races to choose from this weekend. We do have 2 races and between them almost any distance you could want is represented. Check em out.
Badger Cove Half Marathon, 10k & 5k- Sat 16th.
Bringing the luck of the Irish and poking its head out just in time for Saint Patrick's Day, it's the Brazen Badger! Come join us at the picturesque Del Valle Regional Park in Livermore! From waterfront views under oak groves to panoramic vistas, these courses have a lot to offer. Start times will be: 8:00am for the Half Marathon, 8:25am for the 10K and 8:45am for the 5K
Rodeo Valley Trail Run 50k, 30k, Half Marathon & 8k- Sat 16th.
Starting just steps away from historic Fort Cronkhite, a preserved WWII mobilization post, and the dark sands of Rodeo Beach, this trail race includes steep pitches and lofty downhill sections as it undulates the beautiful Marin Headlands hills and coastline. Coastal trail and Pirates cove offer astonishing views of the Pacific ocean as well as glimpses of San Francisco and the Golden Gate bridge along the SCA. As part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, the Marin Headlands is rich with wildlife. With distances of 8k, 20k, 30k, and 50k there is a race to challenge and appreciate all running abilities and a scenery that will make even the most curse-worthy climb more benign.
See you in the woods,
